Copyright / DMCA Policy
Effective: July 4, 2026
Overview
Koopi LLC (“Koopi”) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), we respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement, provide a counter-notification process, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Reporting Alleged Infringement
If you believe content on Koopi infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (Section 4) that includes all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, and information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (such as the URL)
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages.
2. Counter-Notification
If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send our Designated Copyright Agent a counter-notification that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which Koopi may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice or their agent
If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may restore the removed content in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
3. Repeat Infringer Policy
Koopi will, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to the Services or remove content for users who repeatedly submit invalid notices.
4. Designated Copyright Agent
Notices and counter-notifications should be sent to our Designated Copyright Agent:
Copyright Agent, Koopi LLC
Email: legal@koopi.tv
[Mailing address of Designated Agent — to be completed before publication]
Note: to qualify for the DMCA safe harbour, Koopi's Designated Agent must also be registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. [Confirm Copyright Office registration is completed.]
5. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above when we do.
