Community Guidelines
Effective: July 4, 2026
Our Approach
Koopi is a home for vertically formatted micro-dramas and the creators who make them. These Community Guidelines explain what is and isn't allowed so the platform stays safe, creative, and advertiser-friendly. They apply to everyone and to everything on Koopi — videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, profiles, and messages. They form part of our Terms of Service, and creators are also bound by the Creator Agreement.
1. Content That Is Not Allowed
- Intellectual property infringement — content you don't own or have the rights to, including unlicensed music, footage, or scripts
- Sexual content — pornography, sexually explicit material, or nudity
- Child safety violations — any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors (reported to authorities as required by law)
- Violence & graphic content — gratuitously graphic, gory, or shocking content, or content that incites or glorifies violence
- Hate speech & harassment — content that attacks, demeans, or promotes discrimination against people based on protected characteristics, or that bullies, threatens, or harasses others
- Dangerous & illegal activity — promotion of self-harm, dangerous acts, or illegal goods and services
- Deceptive content — scams, fraud, impersonation, or harmful misinformation
- Spam & manipulation — misleading metadata, artificial engagement, or attempts to game recommendations or monetisation
- Malware & security abuse — malicious code or attempts to compromise the platform or its users
2. Mature Themes
Dramas often explore mature themes. Storytelling that includes conflict, romance, or difficult subjects is welcome when it is not gratuitous and complies with these Guidelines. We may age-restrict, label, or limit the distribution and monetisation of mature content so it reaches the right audiences and remains advertiser-friendly.
3. Creator Responsibilities
- Only upload content you created or are authorised to distribute and monetise
- Secure all necessary rights, releases, and consents from performers and rights-holders
- Label content accurately and avoid misleading titles or thumbnails
- Disclose paid promotions and sponsorships as required by law
4. Enforcement
When content or conduct violates these Guidelines, we may take actions including removing content, applying age restrictions or labels, limiting distribution, disabling or reducing monetisation, issuing warnings or strikes, and suspending or terminating accounts. The action we take depends on the severity, context, and history of violations. Serious violations — such as child safety violations — can result in immediate removal and permanent account termination, and may be reported to law enforcement.
5. Reporting & Appeals
If you see content that may violate these Guidelines, please report it to safety@koopi.tv. If we take action against your content or account and you believe we made a mistake, you may appeal by contacting appeals@koopi.tv within 30 days. We will review appeals and respond. Copyright complaints follow the process in our Copyright / DMCA Policy.
6. Changes
We may update these Guidelines as the platform and the law evolve. We will update the effective date above when we do. Your continued use of Koopi after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
